The Lieutenant Governor's Medal is awarded annually to two grade 11 students from each high school in Nova Scotia, to recognize students who demonstrate exceptional leadership qualities, service to their school and community, and commendable academic standing. Medal recipients are nominated by their school and receive their medals at a provincial ceremony in May.
