PRMS Panthers Help Harvest Local Crops for Food Bank

Students in Pine Ridge Middle School's "Panthers Provide" volunteer initiative are being called superheroes after helping to harvest and donate 1,100 pounds of apples and 500 pounds of potatoes for local foodbanks.

A crew of PRMS students travelled to Nichols Farms and Dempsey's Corner Orchard and Farm recently, to give back to the community by lending a hand with the fall harvest. The apples and potatoes were delivered to the Berwick Food Bank, for distribution to families throughout the Valley just in time for Thanksgiving.

A representative of Dempsey's Corner Orchard and Farm calls the students "superheroes" not only for their hard work and determination, but for making a positive difference to others.
