You can register your child any time during the school year by contacting your local school in person, by phone, or by email.
You can also use our online registration form to register your child anytime, and your school will follow up with you to complete the registration process (if you register online in July or August, your school will contact you when school offices re-open for the new school year.)
During the summer, school offices are open four working days after the last day of school. They reopen to the public five working days before the first day of school. Important dates, like the first and last day of school, are listed in our school year calendar.

When you register your child for school, please bring a birth certificate, passport, or immigration documents to verify your child's date of birth.
Primary and Pre-Primary Registration
From January to May, schools invite families in our region to register children who will be eligible for Primary or Pre-Primary in the next school year. We encourage families to register as early as possible during the January to May Preprimary/Primary registration period, both to help us plan for the new school year and to ensure children have opportunities to join orientation events.
- To register for Pre-Primary, a child must be at least four years old by December 31 of the year they enter the program.
- To register for Primary, a child must be at least five years old by December 31 of the year they start school.
