You can register your child any time during the school year by contacting your local school in person, by phone, or by email.
You can also use our online registration form to register your child anytime, including during the summer.
- After you submit an online registration form, your school will follow up with you to complete your child's registration.
- If you register online in July or August, your school will contact you once school offices re-open for the new school year. School offices are open to the public for four working days after the last day of school, and five working days before the first day of school. The school year calendar has important dates like the first and last day of school.
- Please be prepared to verify your child's date of birth using their birth certificate, passport, or immigration documents when your school contacts you to complete your child's registration.

Pre-Primary Registration
From January to May, schools invite families in our region to register children who will be eligible for Pre-Primary in the next school year. Early registration helps us to plan ahead and ensures your child will have opportunities to join Pre-Primary orientation activities.
- To register for Pre-Primary, a child must be at least four years old by December 31 of the year they enter the program.
- To register for Primary, a child must be at least five years old by December 31 of the year they start school (you do not need to register your child for Primary if they are moving from Pre-Primary to Primary at the same school)
